Aloukik Omnibus ( অলৌকিক অমনিবাস ) By Adrish Bardhan ( অদ্রীশ বর্ধন ) Bengali horror storybook contains 12 stories in total. Author name is very familiar to the Bengali book readers. Bardhan was born on 1st December 1932 in Calcutta (British India). Later he completed B.Sc from the University of Calcutta. His career was started as a manager of a purchasing company, but he resigned from the job and started writing.

He is mainly famous for science fiction and detective stories. His fictional character Professor Nut Boltu Chakra ( প্রফেসর নাট বল্টু চক্র ) and detective Indranath Rudra ( ইন্দ্রনাথ রুদ্র ) is very popular to Bengali book readers. He was the founder secretary of Science fiction cine club and was also awarded by Sudhindra Nath Raha Puroskar ( সুধীন্দ্রনাথ রাহা পুরস্কার ), Rotary Smriti Puroskar ( রোটারি স্মৃতি পুরস্কার ), Kalpo Bishwa Sammanona (কল্পবিশ্ব সম্মাননা), Kishore Gyan-Bigyan Puroskar ( কিশোর জ্ঞান-বিজ্ঞান পুরস্কার ), Dinendranath Smriti Puroskar ( দীনেন্দ্রনাথ স্মৃতি পুরস্কার ) and Moumachi Smriti Puroskar ( মৌমাছি স্মৃতি পুরস্কার ) for his marvelous works.

Some of his memorable works are Aadim Aatanka ( আদিম আতঙ্ক ), 5-Ti Rahasya Upanyas ( পাঁচটি রহস্য উপন্যাস ), Bhoutik Omnibus( ভৌতিক অমনিবাস ), Pret-Preyosi ( প্রেত প্রেয়সী ), Goyenda Indranath Rudra Samagra ( গোয়েন্দা ইন্দ্রনাথ রুদ্র সমগ্র  ) and many more. In January 2019, Bardhan was hospitalized in Calcutta and died on 21st May due to physical sickness at the age of 87.
