Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay (শীর্ষেন্দু মুখোপাধ্যায়). He has written stories both for adult and children. He was born
in Mymensingh ( ময়মনসিংহ ) (now in Bangladesh) on 2nd November 1935 during British India period..........
And there he
spent 11 years of his childhood. But during Partition he migrated to
India with his family. Passed intermediate from Victoria College which is
located in Cooch Behar/Koch Bihar ( কুচবিহার ),
West Bengal, India, later he completed masters degree in Bengali language from
Calcutta University and started his professional career as a school teacher. He
is also famous for the fictional characters he created are detective Barada
Charan ( গোয়েন্দা
বরদাচরণ ), Fatik ( ফটিক )
and Shabar Dasgupta ( শবর দাশগুপ্ত ).
He composed a large number of novels, stories, adult fiction, young adult
fiction, children's fiction and Advuture series (অদ্ভুতুড়ে সিরিজ). Also many of his novels were later adopted in
movies such as 'Manojder Adbhut Bari' ( মনোজদের অদ্ভুত বাড়ি ) , 'Patal Ghor' ( পাতালঘর ),
'Kagojer Bou ( কাগজের বৌ ) and many more. Some of his famous books are 'Harano Kakatua'
( হারানো কাকাতুয়া ), 'Pagla-Saheber Kabor' ( পাগলা সাহেবের কবর ), 'khelar Chol' ( খেলার ছল ),
'Sada Ghuri' (সাদা
ঘুড়ি), 'Hetom Gorer
Guptodhon'- ( হেতমগড়ের- গুপ্তধন ), 'Vuture Ghori' (ভূতুড়ে ঘড়ি), 'Valobasa' ( ভালবাসা ), 'Sadhu-Babar Lathi' ( সাধুবাবার লাঠি ) and many more. Presently he is
